These ones I feel can be quite difficult to master. Sometimes you do have to play around with them to perfect your technique. Which is why I suggest using eyebrow pencils for beginners.

Powder: I've got the Napoleon Perdis one in Espresso, lately I have been loving this product. This is actually an eyeshadow. Eyeshadows can be used to fill in eyebrows just make sure you've got the right shade and it is MATTE! I tend to use this with first brush (top brush), just an angled brush to fill in my eyebrows with feather strokes and then use the spooly to brush it out.

Wax & Powder: Benefit Browzing. I must say the first time I used this product I hated it, because I didn't know how to fill in my eyebrows and use it. A few youtube videos later, I'm in love with this product. It comes with all you need, but I clearly don't use the tool (one of them is still wrapped up). The small tools I feel are too small but I guess thats how it has to be to fit into a compact case and if you don't have any angleed brushes, the angled brush does the trick. I use the powder then fix it in place with the wax.

Pomade: I've got this Freedom one, I know the Anastasia one is the most popular one but I thought I'd go with a cheaper one to see if I liked it first. I must say the Pomade gives the most pigment and shapes the brows really well. However it because it is so pigment, you can end up over drawing the brows. I love using this the Barry M brush I have because it is quite dense and the brush keeps it shape. The eyebrow look can sometime be quite strong which I sometimes don't want, so I tend to leave this for when I'm doing a full look.

Set it in place: 
To set it in place I use the Kiko eyebrow designer. It's just a clear gel that sets you eyebrows in place to allow your eyebrows to stay on all day.

Only recently have I rediscovered my love for this palette. I think this was one of the NARS christmas palettes that came out end of 2014. I remember seeing this palette and I made my brother go to Sephora (cos he was overseas at the time, I wasn't and they didn't have it here) and get it for me as I thought it would sell out before I headed overseas. It has a highlighter, 3 blushes and a bronzing powder. They have some witty names too:

-Miss Liberty: This is the highlighter. It says it's a highlighting blush powder, but I don't think I would use this as a blush. It's very shimmery, which is why I would opt against it, but if you want to look like a glitter bomb then this would be perfect. It adds a nice shimmer for a night out but I would advise against this highlighter if you wanted a everyday look.

I personally think that all those blusher are very useable and work for everyday wear. My favourite one is final cut, I just think peach coloured blush suits me more. But in saying that the other two blush are just as flattering. They also last on the skin.
-Deep Throat: This is the top right blush. It is a soft pink peach colour.
-Sex Fantasy: This the lower left blush. It's the light pink barbie colour.
-Final Cut: This the lower right blush. It's the peach coloured blush.

-Laguna: This is the bronzer. This is most DEFINITELY my favourite thing in the palette. It works really well as a bronzer but also as a contour. It's quite pigmented however you depending on how much product you apply you can create a harsh line or do a light contouring. I don't personally have the NARS Ita brush but I have a very similar one, it works wonders when I use it with this product. Those two combination will definitely give you a killer of a contour!

 I'm not sure if you can get this palette anymore, but you can buy the product separately. But overtime they release a palette it looks amazing. One more thing the packaging I think is beautiful and just feels very sleek.

Let's talk about that base this week! I'm just gonna go through what I've been loving as base to start off my make up.

Prep the face


I will use the Bio Derma just on a cotton pad and just wipe over the face, just to make sure my face is clean. Sometimes I put on my makeup during the day and by then sometimes it's just a bit oily which is why I just the Bio Derma. I then use the Clinique moisture surge, its a gel formula which I love cos I tend to get shiny due to the weather and I feel with this gel it moisturises my face without giving it an shiny finish like creams do. Then I prime my skin, with the Smashbox photo finish colour correcting primer. It is a travel size one but I'm trying to finish it before starting another primer. But I think it does a pretty good job as primer.

Foundation 


Depending on how my skin is looking or how I'm feeling I'll either pick on of the following foundations:
Nars Sheer Matte: I use this one if I want a fuller coverage. I'll tend to use this if I'm going somewhere nice and I have time to work in my makeup. This will last pretty much all day on me, because the weather is super humid here I will have to blot sometime once if I'm out to keep it matte.
Tarte BB cream: This one also gives me a pretty high coverage, I'd use this when I want some sort of makeup but I can't be bothered with concealers. I just think it's such a great BB cream which almost acts as a foundation and primer as one, if I use this sometimes I won't bother with the primer. This is something I'll definitely be using once uni goes back as I'm quite lazy when it comes to make-up and uni especially when I have 8am starts.
Milani The Multitasker Face Powder: I like using this if I'm having a good skin day, this one just gives a light coverage, I'm sure you can build it up but I will just use the powder brush and just do a light cover with this. It's very quick and easy.

This kinda fits into this category of make-up Mondays. The last couple of weeks Priceline and Chemist Warehouse have been having some pretty good bargains. Which led me to buy a......few products from both stores.

This is one combo, I have been loving since I brought them. I had been on the hunt for a new foundation for a while as my MAC foundation was getting a bit too dark for my skin tone. Nars has been on my 'to try' list for a while with beauty bloggers raving about the products all the time. These two are my first two Nars products I've owned and I super impressed.

The product: 
The foundation I have is Nars Sheer Matte in Stromboli. It comes in a matte glass bottle and a lid but no pump. You have to purchase the pump separately which was $4 (AUD). However when you do put the pump on, your lid doesn't fit, which I kinda wish it does because I don't want bacterial getting on it or a mess if I put it in my makeup bag (so far hasn't happened yet). This is probably the only downside of foundation.

The Nars translucent light reflecting setting powder-pressed, comes in a pouch with a sponge. The packaging is super smooth and has a mirror which is handy.

Application:
The foundation I tend to use my fingers or the buffing bush by real techniques. I use between half a pump to one pump depending on the coverage I need.

The translucent powder I just the real technique powder brush, I don't really like using the sponge to powder my face.

Wearability: 

Top: Foundation, Bottom: blended foundation

My skin varies between oily and combination skin, I found this foundation and the powder, when used together keeps me relatively matte pretty much all day, sometime I need to blot if it's a hot day. It doesn't break me out which is awesome as I'm prone to especially with some foundations. The foundation also has a medium to full coverage but feels very light on my skin, which I love. It doesn't feel like it's clogging up my pores.

I absolutely love these two products together and will definitely repurchase both of them when I use them up!
